Nicks Tomato Pie

Best pizza in downtown Syracuse. My wife and I have been ordering from a different pizza place every time looking for a spot like this, but our search is over. We've ordered from Nicks four times now and have had a good experience each time. I highly recommend the Grandma's Pie. It's a huge old-school pizza that has a thicker crust, but isn't soggy or doughy; plus, it's great the next day (just make sure you leave room in the fridge for the box!). As an added bonus, the wings are also spot on. They have an option to oven finish them, which may be a little too much char for some people, but suits me just fine. The only better local wings I've had is from Dinosaur BBQ (and Dino tends to be more expensive and doesn't have a char option at all). Unfortunately, I can't recommend the fries / cheese fries, the cheese is uninspired and fries arrive soggy and really pretty meh - you're best off ordering something else on the menu.

I had heard good things about this place so I was excited when they added grubhub. I ordered on one of the coldest days of the year and got a pizza and a sub. The food was cold and late, but that was most likely the result of new technology and the weather... never a good reason to leave a poor review. The food itself was honestly great, I had a few slices of cheese and pepperoni and I'm happy they don't use the cheap crappy pepperoni so many places around here do. It's the best pizza place I've had around SU.

After running out of certain ingredients necessary to fulfill my order, they called me to offer me choices of other menu items or a cancellation of my order. That, in my opinion, was excellent service. When I chose to keep my order, which was also one of the options, my order was still delivered within the original time frame, delivered hot, and tasted good. Cudos!

Grandma's Pie is like the Original Tomato Pie with a kick. Just delicious! Nick's makes the best crust and sauce on earth. Fast, friendly delivery, as usual. Pie always arrives hot and perfect.

The pizza quality was excellent, and everything tasted fresh. The sausages on top had just the right amount of spice, which balanced nicely with the sauce.

Delivery was quick and friendly.
